CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. S# 1620927. 18" bbl marked behind front sight "UNDERWOOD / 10-44 / flaming bomb". Wide AI bbl band with bayonet lug. Stamped rear sight. Blade front sight with protective ears. Straight cut slide marked "PI". Round "IO" bolt. Receiver with detachable main spring housing. "Q-NL" milled trigger housing. Rotary safety. Mag catch with 30-rd extension. Straight cut "HI" hammer. Walnut potbelly buttstock is unmarked. 4 rivet walnut handguard also unmarked. Green web sling. CONDITION: stock set has lightly worn arsenal rework finish with light handling marks. Metal retains a very large degree of a dark arsenal rework parkerization. Bore has strong sharp lands with areas of oxidation. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret.
